After Spending seven days in the hospital, Big B is back home. He had a severe infection due to pneumonia and had fluid in his lungs that made it hard for him to breath. He spent the week with a chest tube in his right side draining the fluid from his lung. He has a picc line in his arm that will be in for approximately 4 weeks. We give him antibiotics through this line. We also have a nurse that comes in weekly to change the dressing and to take his blood.(to make sure the infection is not coming back) He is one tough four year old. The hospital was great. Especially when he started feeling better and needed to be entertained. They always had something for him to do - painting, making a pirate hat, playing games or watching movies. Now that he is home we have to remind him that he doesn't get to have cupcakes and mac n' cheese for breakfast, that he can't eat in bed, and that he can't use the "trucker bucket" to go potty. Daddy - 0 is really glad to be home as well. He spent 7 nights sleeping on a very hard, very small cot. Thank you all for your prayers, visits, cards, meals and well wishes. We are blessed to have such good friends and family.
